Bridge Construction Manager

Gulisek Construction is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Superintendent to oversee the construction and rehabilitation of heavy/highway bridges in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning: Collaborate with the general superintendent to plan craft activities, including method, equipment, manpower, and materials.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate work with other superintendents to ensure efficient usage of labor and equipment on the project.
- Quality Control: Analyze plans before the work begins and recognize any errors or possible cost-saving changes that could be made before construction.
- Project Budgeting: Monitor craft's compliance with safety regulations and awareness of project budgets for work being managed.
- Foreman Supervision: Supervise foremen to ensure all work is performed safely in a professional manner, built to specifications, and within established budgets.
- Change Management: Work with foremen and project manager to ensure that any changes in the scope or quantity of work are addressed as change orders and all extra work is properly documented.
- Minimum of five (5) years construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar structure type construction.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years experience on bridge projects ranging from $5 million to $25 million.
- Familiarity with plans and understanding of the work being directed.
- Experience and knowledge to make changes to the method of construction when budgets are not being met.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to deal with people.
