Lincare Holdings is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Health Care Specialist, you will be responsible for performing equipment setups in a timely and professional manner. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, particularly in the setup of ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units. You will also provide technical assistance with equipment and may be required to perform setup of all types of oxygen equipment. In addition to technical skills, you will provide patient education as an integral part of patient care activities, frequently in the patient's home. You will also be responsible for maintaining current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts. The ideal candidate will have excellent human relations skills to interface with doctors, other referral sources, and patients. You will also be required to work on-call after hours and weekends as needed. The level of experience required for this role will depend on the center size and the number of employees available to share in the responsibility. The candidate must have a minimum of two years experience in home health care for Level 2, and a minimum of three years experience in home health care for Level 3. May be involved in the training of other Health care Specialists. Must be computer literate and have completed all training/education required to obtain requisite certification, registration, and/or license described below. Must be a clinician authorized within his/her scope of practice to provide all patient care services offered by the company from time to time. Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing his/her clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law. In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position. Subject to state law/regulation RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may also be qualified for this position. If applicable, based on the requirements of the state, in addition to a valid state license, the current National Board of Respiratory Care Credentials may also be required for CRTs and RRTs. Subject to State requirements and management approval, Candidates may be hired who do not meet all the above certifications and training, but practice respiratory therapy as authorized by applicable state law. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
