About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Software Engineer to develop sophisticated systems and software based on customer business goals, needs, and general business environment. This role will involve implementing solutions using C/C++ programming and assembly, conducting design/code reviews, debugging complex system software issues using analyzers and other hardware debug tools.

Responsibilities

  • Implement solutions using C/C++ programming and assembly, conduct design/code reviews, and debug complex system software issues using analyzers and other hardware debug tools.
  • Work on all aspects of the software development life cycle, including designing documentation, code development, debugging, and validation. Collaborate with system and software architects on feature definitions, requirements, and behavior specifications.
  • Develop interface/protocol specifications and communicate with internal groups, external vendors/partners, and ODMs. Provide technical advisement and direction to the team and other impacted stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • BSEE, BSCE, BSCS or related degree plus 12+ years of current embedded software development experience.
  • Knowledge of compilers, assemblers, debuggers, systems software, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, and strong system level architecture experience for both hardware and firmware.
  • Understanding of OS Services (Linux or RealTimeOS), familiarity with Git, and strong system level architecture experience for both hardware and firmware.
  • UEFI BIOS and/or Embedded Controller development experience with Intel and/or AMD x86, and ARM system architectures.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $191,000 - $247,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and location.
