We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at United Digestive's Gwinnett Endoscopy Center in Lawrenceville, GA. As a Full Time LPN Travel Nurse, you will provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center, working closely with our team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, recognized nursing techniques, and legal aspects of current nurse practice in the State of Georgia.
- Supervise the Endoscopy Center in the absence of the Charge Nurse and with a registered nurse on site.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care given to patients, performing delegated and assigned functions by the Registered Nurse.
- Current State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
- Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged.
- Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. ACLS certification is recommended, but optional.
- Completion of Airway Management Module is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation.
The LPN will work in a fast-paced endoscopy center environment, requiring the ability to work under stress and maintain a high level of professionalism. Moderate periods of sitting and computer use are expected, as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The LPN must be able to stand and walk for extensive periods, lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally work in other Endoscopy Centers.
