Job Title: Registered Polysomnography Technologist

At BJC Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Polysomnography Technologist to join our Sleep Lab team at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Job Summary:

The Registered Polysomnography Technologist will be responsible for providing therapeutic, diagnostic, and assessment-related responsibilities within the Sleep Lab department. This includes ensuring quality clinical outcomes in sleep testing procedures, assisting in education and competency of PSG technician trainees, and accurately and efficiently completing test analysis (scoring).

Responsibilities:
  • Applies electrodes and sensors to patients
  • Prepares, calibrates, and maintains equipment
  • Performs positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings
  • Performs sleep studies, initiates and maintains various modes of therapy
  • Recognizes and manages various respiratory conditions
  • Scores sleep and wake stages, scores clinical events
  • Generates reports and transfers data to the appropriate media
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Cardiovascular Life Support Certification
  • Registration in area of expertise
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field
