About the Role

Topcon Positioning Systems is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Livermore, CA. As an Electromechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, products, or systems to meet quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble assigned tasks.
  • Gather tools, materials, position parts or subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Crimp, screw, solder, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Support team activities, including 5S and monthly cleaning.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Follow established procedures on routine work, work with line leader on all new assignments.
  • Understand quality efficiency and make judgments. Ability to adapt new processes and new products, attention to detail.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to take directions from leadership and work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with hand tools such as strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque drivers, and basic production tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and interact effectively in a team environment.
  • Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks with little supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift to a minimum 25lb and torque up to 50-inch.
  • Position requires bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and pushing carts.
  • Some overtime required.
  • Standing up work position.
  • Pick and pull material from workstation above shoulder level.
