Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center in Lawton, OK. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect professional nursing services to patients in a variety of settings. Your responsibilities will include performing technical nursing tasks, such as taking temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and administering medications and treatments prescribed by authorized personnel. You will also direct the activities of direct care staff on the unit and provide health-related education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct and indirect professional nursing services to patients in a variety of settings
* Perform technical nursing tasks, such as taking temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
* Administer medications and treatments prescribed by authorized personnel
* Direct the activities of direct care staff on the unit
* Provide health-related education to patients and their families
Requirements:
* Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse
* Three years of practical nursing experience
* Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull a maximum force of 25 pounds
* Valid driver's license
