Optometrist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Hawaii Vision Associates. This is a full-time position that requires excellent time-management skills and the ability to efficiently multi-task. The successful candidate will have customer service experience and a medical assisting degree, although this is not mandatory.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

• Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
• Checking insurance eligibility and obtaining authorizations/referrals
• Pre-testing and preparing patients for exams
• Preparing charts and equipment
• Maintaining a clean office environment

As a Medical Support Specialist at Hawaii Vision Associates, you will be part of a dynamic team that specializes in caring for all vision needs. We handle comprehensive eye exams for glasses and/or contact lenses, as well as medical eye exams for diabetes, glaucoma, cataract, and eye infections like "pink eye."
