We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our Microsoft Purview team. As a key member of our team, you will lead the vision and strategy to streamline deployment and optimize operations of our cloud-based security solutions.

**Job Description:**

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering critical subsystems within our high-scale security data platform.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Own and lead the design, implementation, and delivery of critical subsystems within our high-scale security data platform.
  • Drive consensus across multiple partner teams, ensuring alignment on technical decisions and project goals.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, security experts, data scientists, and other engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end development of features, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Mentor and guide senior engineers, driving technical excellence and ensuring best practices across the team.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

**Estimated Salary:** $137,600 - $267,000 per year (USD)
