Job Summary:

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team in Saint Helena, California.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
  • Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Use PACS and teleradiology systems to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information, ensuring the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
    • Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
    • Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
    • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
    • Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
    • Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
    • ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
  • Essential Functions:
    • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
    • Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
    • Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
    • Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
    • Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
