About the Role:

The Channel Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and retention within assigned client segments, such as Investment Banking, Private Equity, and Investment Management. This individual ensures a seamless client experience throughout the sales cycle by providing expert guidance on maximizing the utilization of S&P Global Market Intelligence's products and solutions.

The incumbent is responsible for identifying and addressing client needs, providing product training, and ensuring successful product implementation. This role requires a deep understanding of the client's business, S&P Global Market Intelligence's products, and the challenges related to hardware/software installation and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a product specialist for S&P Global Market Intelligence's data feed and API solutions, assisting the Sales/Account Management Team in opportunities to ensure clients understand available data sets, their applications, and how to ingest or process them.
  • Deploy solutions at client sites/cloud environments, configuring software to work with the client's environment, and collaborating with internal technical support staff as needed.
  • Provide training to clients on the use of S&P Global Market Intelligence's content and platform, ensuring their specific data and application needs are addressed and they receive maximum value from their use of these products.
  • Expand use of S&P Global Market Intelligence's solutions within the department that purchased the product and across the company, gathering intelligence and communicating internally to identify opportunities for revenue retention and growth.
  • Provide feedback on existing products and participate in the development process of new products, identifying areas of opportunity from a technical or content level to pass along to Product Teams for evaluation.
  • Develop information sources on clients, competitors, and prospects, following call program standards.
  • Serve as a primary client contact for content and delivery inquiries, taking ownership of obtaining and organizing information about clients' applications, content needs, technical environments, and identifying other groups/divisions to develop relationships and assess potential for revenue growth.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or Business.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading financial data and delivery platforms (e.g., Compustat, Capital IQ, SNL, IHS, Trucost, ClariFI) and how clients use them.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental data and financial investment concepts.
  • Prior experience with SQL.
  • Formal training and/or experience in personal computer diagnostics, hardware/software problem-solving techniques (in both local & network environments), and support processes.
  • Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CFA/FRM designation, or current progress towards a designation.
  • Experience working with financial data feeds.
  • Knowledge of the fixed income market and derivatives.
  • Familiarity with RDBMS configuration and/or administration (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL & MySQL).
  • Experience with visualization software such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Experience with Cloud warehousing (Snowflake/Databricks/AWS/Azure).
  • Experience with major programming languages (I.E. Python, R, JavaScript, etc.).
