Position Summary
- Deliver outstanding service to patients and visitors while providing essential support to physicians and clinic staff.
- Manage patient registration, ensure accurate information entry, collect payments, handle multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, and perform various clerical tasks.
- Required: 6 months of experience in the healthcare sector, excellent communication abilities, familiarity with Word and Outlook, proficient data entry skills, and a strong capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Proficiency in computer applications is required.
- Additional education in medical terminology, EMR training, or business-related courses is preferred.
- One year of clerical experience and six months of healthcare experience are required, ideally in a comparable role.
- Preferred experience includes medical office operations, insurance processes, referrals, prior authorizations, and hospital or computer-related tasks.
- Typing skills must be accurate at 40 words per minute.
- Strong customer service skills, telephone etiquette, and proficiency in computer applications are essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranges from $13.74 to $22.44 based on prior work experience.
