Maintenance Engineer Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer Leader to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities at our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance technicians, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 per year, plus a 10% bonus. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, life insurance, and wellness perks.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 14-16 maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Establish and maintain maintenance schedules for key equipment and facilities.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement measures to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations teams to address recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement measures to optimize maintenance-related expenditures.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance services and equipment procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost-effective services.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and organizational policies.
- Implement safety measures and training programs to promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history and repair logs.
- Generate regular reports on maintenance performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in maintenance operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance overall equipment performance and reliability.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in maintenance/engineering management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a maintenance team.
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and maintenance processes.
