Job Title: Travel Nurse RN - NICU Specialist

Job Summary: Samba Care is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to provide expert care to premature and severely ill newborn infants in a NICU setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants, ensuring their basic needs are met.
  • Perform medical procedures, such as inserting intravenous lines, performing tests, and administering medications, under the supervision of NICU physicians.
  • Assist NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments, utilizing specialized medical equipment.
  • Formulate nursing plans and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Comfort and support ill newborns and anxious parents and family members, providing emotional support and education on at-home care.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure and NICU experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced NICU environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with NICU physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and treatments, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
