Position Overview:

The role of Product Engineer is pivotal in enhancing the operations at 3M. This position focuses on refining and advancing manufacturing processes to ensure optimal safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive safety enhancements within the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at cost reduction and productivity enhancements through Continuous Improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during daily operations to achieve production targets.
  • Oversee manufacturing leadership for assigned products, ensuring timely resolution of customer complaints and implementing corrective actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with local and division technical teams on projects aimed at improving manufacturing operations and scaling up new products.
  • Effectively communicate project updates and directions to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Preferably, a degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of technical manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Minitab.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies and Six Sigma practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond with urgency.

Work Environment:
