Communication Specialist

Via Health Services at Fleur Heights is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Des Moines, IA. Our team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our residents.
We are seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a member of our team, you will work closely with other therapists and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for our residents. These plans will address speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, helping our residents to improve their communication abilities and manage swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in residents
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address these disorders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- State licensure or certification as required
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic techniques for communication and swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year.
