The Rockefeller University Hospital is a leading clinical research facility with 20 patient beds, funded by the National Institutes of Health. The Hospital provides researchers with opportunities to conduct clinical studies and allows participants to contribute to important advances in science. The Hospital has a 24-hour staffed inpatient unit and an outpatient center where prospective patients are screened.

**About the Role:**

The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for coordinating and conducting clinical research studies, developing or updating protocols, procedures, and standards for studies in collaboration with the research team. They teach research participants protocol-specific information, reinforce compliance with protocol procedures, and collect research data as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing research participant(s) protocol-specific information, reinforcing compliance with protocol procedures, collecting research data as required, and providing direct nursing care as needed;
  • Coordinating and instructing other health team members on research protocol-specific details;
  • Phlebotomy, collection, and processing of specimens, procedure assistance, patient care;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required;
  • Current New York State Registered Nursing License and a minimum of two years of hospital/direct patient care required;
  • Must possess BCLS certification upon hiring and ACLS certification within six months of hire;
  • Must possess strong computer skills (electronic health record, Microsoft Office, etc...);
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and organized with a keen ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
