Home Health Aide Job Description

We're seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide exceptional care to our clients in the Staten Island area.

Job Summary:

As a Home Health Aide with Premier Care, you will provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with mobility and transfers, administer medications as directed, and monitor vital signs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
