About the Role

Terracon is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector II to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test construction projects to verify compliance with building codes, construction drawings, and project specifications.
  • Prepare Inspection Reports and provide written documentation of observations and testing results.
  • Communicate with Project Teams to ensure that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Maintain Quality Standards on all projects, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with Senior Inspectors and project managers to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments and best practices in construction inspection and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; associate's degree in civil engineering technology or construction engineering technology preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 Years' Experience as an engineering technician or in a related field.
  • 1 Year Experience in Construction Inspection preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certifications
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II Certification in visual testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, radiographic testing, and ultrasonic testing.
  • ICC Certification in reinforced concrete, spray-applied fireproofing, structural masonry, prestressed/post-tensioned concrete, and structural steel bolting and welding.
