Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate GI Assistant to join our team at Kootenai Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, and eating
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
  • Aid physicians and nursing staff with procedures as needed
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records
  • Perform a variety of tasks to support patient care and hospital operations
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Current CNA registration with the State of Idaho, current Certified Medical Assistant, or current Surgical Technician certification required
  • Knowledge of sterile techniques and ability to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Ability to work under general supervision and maintain a high level of professionalism
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position for extended periods
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
