Job Description

Job Title: Experienced Expeditor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team at Crosscheck Inspection Services. As an Expeditor, you will be responsible for managing permits and compliance, providing building code, zoning law, and expediting services to architects, engineers, construction professionals, developers, and building managers in the New York City metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

  • Permit Management: Maintain excellent communication with clients and contractors throughout the lifespan of a project, ensuring timely and efficient permit processing.
  • Compliance: Utilize professionalism when dealing with co-workers and clients, and be able to prepare comprehensive, detailed, and professional reports and documents.
  • Building Code and Zoning Law: Possess a full understanding of DOB, LPC forms, and processes for all New Buildings, PA, Alt 1, Alt 2, Alt 3, etc.
  • Construction Services: Provide building code, zoning law, and expediting services to architects, engineers, construction professionals, developers, and building managers in the New York City metropolitan area.
  • Project Coordination: Manage and provide support for all filings, resolve any and all objections, and ensure that all completed billable tasks are submitted on the day of completion for billing.
  • Communication: Communicate with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with Company goals, adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
  • Workload Management: Be fully responsible for managing their assigned workload.

Qualifications:

  • Accountability: Accountable for managing assigned multiple project workload.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in software applications: Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Professionalism: Ability to use professionalism when dealing with co-workers and clients and be able to prepare comprehensive, detailed, and professional reports and documents.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma (Required), Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Experience: Project management: 2 years minimum.
