We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, obtaining imaging studies, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient flow to obtain requested imaging studies in a fast-paced environment
  • Verify orders, ensure quality assurance of imaging equipment, and obtain appropriate imaging following approved policies and protocols
  • Provide excellent patient care, including proper patient preparation and education
  • Work collaboratively with procedural teams and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Current ARDMS (AB)(OB/GYN) credentials or eligibility to take ARDMS Abdomen and Obstetrics/Gynecology Registry
  • Clinical experience in medical sonography
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate with patients, family members, physicians, and healthcare professionals
  • Basic Life Support Certification
Working Conditions

This role requires working with computers, typing, reading, and writing. You will also be lifting, moving, and loading 20 to 30 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials and diseases or infections.
