We are currently seeking a Comprehensive Assessment Clinician to enhance our expanding team. This role involves overseeing the delivery of thorough assessment services to clients, conducting audits of clinician assessments, and providing training to assessment clinicians and other staff as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments for clients, including diagnosis and adherence to ASAM criteria.
- Advise on suitable levels of care for clients based on assessments.
- Collaborate with fellow clinical assessment clinicians and medical staff for recommendations.
- Evaluate whether clients require a higher level of care and provide corresponding recommendations.
- Deliver training on comprehensive assessments to clinicians and medical providers, focusing on diagnosis and ASAM criteria.
- Conduct initial, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of assessments to ensure accurate diagnosis and ASAM criteria application.
- Prepare detailed reports reflecting assessment outcomes.
- Participate in all assigned administrative meetings and complete related tasks.
- Assist in training new staff to enhance service delivery.
- Lead the implementation of necessary program changes.
- Engage with medical, clinical, and other personnel to verify treatment legitimacy and determine length of stay.
- Analyze insurance, governmental, and accreditation standards to establish criteria for admissions, treatment, and client stay duration.
- Participate in all required state and staff regulatory training.
- Adhere to program policies and procedures while upholding a professional code of ethics.
- Safeguard the privacy of all client information in compliance with applicable privacy policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess an APRN, DO, PA, or MD degree and hold a valid license in Kentucky.
- Independent licensure is preferred.
- Previous administrative experience is required.
- Experience in delivering lectures on addiction and facilitating group sessions is beneficial.
- Background in substance abuse treatment is preferred.
- Must have appropriate State and Federal Clearances.
Additional Skills and Attributes:
- Understanding of recovery principles and recovery-oriented service systems.
- Familiarity with community health resources that promote overall well-being.
- Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program.
- Awareness of the impact of substance use on individuals and families.
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing addiction treatment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team collaboration.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule and responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting and mobility.
