Position Overview:
A healthcare organization based in Scranton is looking for a dedicated and empathetic internal medicine physician to be part of a collaborative, nonprofit outpatient facility. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of relevant experience, demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based medical practices, and be adept at treating adult patients.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid PA medical license as an MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Board certification in primary care
- PA DEA certificate prior to commencement
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct primary care and outpatient services to clinic patients
- Contribute to the formulation of clinic protocols and procedures to guarantee high-quality medical care
- Engage in utilization and peer review programs to assess the quality of medical staff and services at the clinics
- Oversee and provide guidance to physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Offer consultation services to practitioners via telephone as needed
