We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Audit Staff Consultant to join our Technology Risk and Compliance (TRC) team at UHY LLP. As an IT Audit Staff Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients understand and mitigate their technological risks.
Key Responsibilities- IT Control Attestations: Work directly with project managers and clients to gain an understanding of their IT systems, infrastructure, and control environment. Apply that understanding to various IT risk and control frameworks such as SOC, PCI, HIPAA, ISO, and others.
- IT Risk Assessments: Conduct independent assessments of IT risks for clients and their stakeholders. Develop reports and presentations to stakeholders based on your findings.
- Controls Testing: Evaluate controls by understanding the best way to test their effectiveness.
- Documentation: Document procedures and results of tests performed during control testing and document conclusions.
- Quality Control: Ensure quality control procedures are being executed under the direction of an engagement supervisor. Perform thorough self-review of all work prior to submission.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or a similar field with an interest in Information Technology.
- Skills: Active listening, strong written and oral communication skills, reading comprehension, speaking, writing, social perceptiveness, and information technology skills.
- Experience: Demonstrate knowledge of basic business, technology, and audit principles/standards. Must have a desire to work toward achieving one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- Legal/Compliance: Must complete an acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document.
