Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Join Huntington Ingalls Industries, a leading defense technology solutions provider, as a Quality Assurance Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and automated test creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct final Peer Reviews for code changes, ensuring thorough testing and validation before integration.
  • Verify that unit tests are present and properly integrated into the regression suite.
  • Assess whether changes are ready for release or should be included in a broader release build.
  • Analyze test failures and report issues, drafting new bugs and discussions for action with the development team.

Requirements:

  • 2 years' relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 0 years' experience with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years' relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a software engineering role with a focus on quality assurance and automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automated frontend (UI) and backend testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and QA methodologies.
