Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Traveling Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Ethos Medical Staffing. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform various medical procedures, including inserting IV lines, administering blood transfusions, and performing chest tubes.
- Document patient care and progress in the medical record.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Nebraska.
- At least 1 year of experience in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
