POSITION OVERVIEW

The CAD Drafter will be responsible for transforming client requirements into precise technical drawings utilizing specifications, floor plans, and purchase orders. This role involves assisting in the design of new products, revising existing designs, and creating standard models while accommodating customer preferences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and implement standard and customized product lines and methods for sheet metal fabrication in product designs.
  • Collaborate with fellow CAD Drafters to resolve issues related to specific projects and equipment requests.
  • Create detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Reference previously completed drawings to support the development of new products.
  • Engage with clients to clarify inquiries regarding equipment specifications.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure accuracy in models.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in drafting from an accredited Technical School.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in CAD software.
  • Experience working with stainless steel materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment as a Drafter or in a similar capacity.

  • Proficient in various drafting software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role. The position requires the ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and necessitates visual, auditory, and physical capabilities including walking, bending, reaching, and standing. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
