Job Summary

Sentry Hill is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
  • Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
  • Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
  • Transfer, position, and turn residents safely and efficiently.
  • Provide skin care to residents, promoting their overall health and well-being.
  • Contribute to the resident's assessment and plan of care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services, helping residents regain their independence and mobility.
  • Follow the schedule of resident's needs, set out by the supervisor, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Promote and protect resident rights, assisting them in making informed decisions and treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Inform the supervisor of any resident issues or concerns, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents, promoting a positive and supportive care environment.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Area of Study: Clinical/Nursing.
  • Years of Experience: 1+ years.
  • Type of Experience: Clinical/Nursing.
  • Special Certifications: CNA licensure, depending on state requirements and regulations.
  • Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with the supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills.
  • Skills and Ability:
    • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Dedicated, compassionate, and energetic.
