Experience: Minimum 1 year in a hospital or clinical setting preferred, 3 years in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred License: Current state licensure required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred Must-Have: Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent

Job Description:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging using advanced
    MRIdiagnostic equipment.
  • Demonstrate competency with
    MRIexams, procedures, and pressurized injection equipment.
  • Assist Radiologist in invasive and biopsy procedures to accurately locate anatomical sites.
  • Program computers to ensure exam completion and correct storage of scan data on PACS.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain high-level patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of all charges in the billing system.
  • Maintain competence with all age-specific groups for proper study completion.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate individual physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information

At CHRISTUS Bossier Emergency Hospital, we are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging using advanced MRI diagnostic equipment. You will also demonstrate competency with MRI exams, procedures, and pressurized injection equipment, and assist Radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures to accurately locate anatomical sites.


As a member of our team, you will be responsible for programming computers to ensure exam completion and correct storage of scan data on PACS, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to maintain high-level patient care and continuity, and ensuring accurate coding and entry of all charges in the billing system. You will also maintain competence with all age-specific groups for proper study completion, adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate individual physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs, and ensure compliance with all state, federal, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
