Outboard Motor Specialist

Parker Yacht Management is seeking a highly skilled Outboard Motor Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing outboard engines, as well as installing and maintaining hydraulic steering systems and 12v DC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mount and rig outboard engines from major brands, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair Yamaha outboards, including conventional and D.E.C engines, using advanced computer diagnostic tools.
  • Install and repair hydraulic steering systems and 12v DC systems, ensuring seamless integration with our vessels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Train and guide apprentices, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in all aspects of outboard troubleshooting and repair, with a strong focus on problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Certification as a Master Technician from Yamaha (minimum 3 years), demonstrating a high level of technical expertise and knowledge.
  • Forklift driving experience, ensuring safe and efficient movement of equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
