Job Summary

Mercy University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our student athletes, ensuring their health and well-being throughout their academic and athletic careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide coverage for teams during practices and games, including travel and weekend work.
  • Collaborate with the Team Physician to ensure the health and well-being of student athletes.
  • Maintain accurate records of athletic injuries and rehabilitation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to athletic injury insurance claims.
  • Maintain a safe and clean Athletic Training Room.
  • Mentor interns from Mercy University's Exercise Science Program.

Qualifications

  • Maintain NATA BOC certification.
  • Maintain Athletic Trainer's license in the state of New York.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to meet all general health requirements for the position as per University policies.
  • Ability to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
