Psychiatrist (BHDDH)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric services to patients in a clinical program, including direct patient care, daily rounds, and supervision of staff.

• Provide psychiatric services to patients in a clinical program, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Conduct daily rounds and supervise staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including medication management and therapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

• Graduation from a medical school of recognized standing and completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved residency in psychiatry.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Rhode Island and DEA registration.
• Board certification in psychiatry or eligibility for certification within three years of employment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, with a high level of patient contact and interaction with other healthcare professionals. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting is essential.
