Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Employment Type: PRN

Role Objective:

The primary aim is to assist in the strategic planning, organization, development, and oversight of Speech Language Pathology services, ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, while upholding the highest quality of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech therapy services and make referrals as necessary, adhering to established standards of practice and departmental procedures.
  • Conduct evaluations and gather essential data for effective treatment planning and execution.
  • Formulate a comprehensive treatment plan, inclusive of targeted objectives and both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on relevant speech-language techniques to facilitate the integration of therapeutic goals into daily routines.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with CMS expectations using NetHealth EMR systems.
  • Oversee and implement appropriate protocols for FEES/MBS, coordinating with site programs.
  • Engage in screening protocols to ensure residents' needs are met promptly and with clinical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • Active SLP license in the relevant state(s) of practice is mandatory.
