As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate patient physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social, and educational needs, documenting patient/family responses to nursing interventions.
- Develop and implement the plan of care, including the discharge plan, based on standards of nursing practice, health center policy, and patient/family needs.
- Provide, facilitate, and/or implement learning opportunities to meet the educational needs of patients/families, based on the teaching plan developed by the Registered Nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, including attending and participating in departmental/organizational meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities.
- Adhere to departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and standards, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Iowa or qualified multistate licensure.
- IV Certification required or required to begin class within 2 years.
- Previous acute care experience preferred.
