At Prisma Health, we are seeking a skilled Perfusionist to join our team. As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in the operation of the heart-lung machine, intra-aortic balloon, cell saver, and other life-support devices during cardiovascular surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Confers with surgeons to gather necessary information about the patient and the procedure to be performed.
• Operates the heart-lung machine during surgical procedures, performing necessary functions to maintain the patient's condition.
• Monitors various physiologic parameters during surgical procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records of each perfusion as a permanent copy of the medical record.
• Follows laboratory procedures for handling specimens, processing, test analyses, and reporting results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP) certification.

Work Environment

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
