We are seeking a highly skilled Medicaid Billing Specialist to join our team at Phoebe Ministries. As a Medicaid Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for Medicaid services.
Key Responsibilities- Enter PA162's/MA Approvals for Medicaid Fee for Service and Community Health Choices MA products into the Billing System upon receipt.
- Manage census line entries to ensure accurate billing.
- Conduct audits to validate Resident medical expenses and insurance premiums submitted to Medicaid.
- Submit monthly claims and claim adjustments based on Medicaid protocols.
- Review and prepare responses to Community Health Choices Claim Audit(s).
- Submit 180-day exception unit claims.
- Manage and post payments associated with Medicaid to Resident accounts.
- Monitor and report on Medicaid receivable trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in medical claims billing/coding, insurance follow-up processes, and procedures.
- Experience working for a medical insurance company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
