About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Porter to join our team at American Campus Communities. As a Porter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the interior and exterior buildings and grounds at our student housing community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior buildings and grounds, including common areas and amenities.
  • Assist the maintenance team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading and storing supplies.
  • Perform groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and pressure washing duties.
  • Assist with apartment make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
  • Vacuum, mop, and/or shampoo floors in resident rooms and common areas; stock bathrooms; and empty trash in designated areas.
Requirements
  • Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to drive a golf cart and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of general labor, housekeeping, and cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written or verbal multi-step instructions.
