The Resource Nurse plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care by providing guidance, mentoring, and education to new graduate nurses and/or nurses transitioning to a new specialty. This position supports multiple units and ensures compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform rounds on each nursing unit to observe and assess the quality of patient care being delivered.
  • Identify nursing educational needs and provide targeted support to ensure nurses within scope have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.
  • Educate nurses on the hospital's standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
