Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Wax Repair professional to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a Wax Repair Technician, you will play a critical role in the casting manufacturing process, responsible for preparing, assembling, and repairing wax molds that will later become complex aluminum parts for our customers.
Responsibilities:
* Perform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to enhance a safe work environment.
* Achieve team production and efficiency goals by working to meet operational and quality standards, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
* Work from sample gated assemblies or photographs, material lists, or instructions to perform various operations on simple assemblies.
* Operate wax extruding, base making injection machines, and perform hand base making when required.
* Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual conditions to supervision.
Requirements:
* A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but manufacturing experience may be substituted.
* One year of manufacturing experience is preferred, with previous experience in the casting industry being a plus.
* Ability to bring your best self every day to safely meet or exceed production and quality standards.
* Ability to thrive in an environment where business and team needs may change to meet business and customer demands.
* Understanding of basic math calculations.
* Ability to use precision measuring instruments, test equipment, or other devices where interpretation is required.
* Ability to perform duties in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
* Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
