As a Tire Technician at BJ's, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in tire installation and maintenance.

Estimated Salary Range: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour (based on location and experience)

Job Description:

As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for assisting customers with tire selection, installation, and maintenance. You will also be required to maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, and provide excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Properly install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
  2. Dispose of tires properly and ensure propane tanks are filled per club policy.
  3. Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
  4. Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
  5. Provide knowledgeable service to customers at the tire desk.
  6. Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
  7. Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn basic computer skills required.
  • Prior tire installation experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment:

The majority of the job is spent standing and moving about continuously on hard surfaces. Frequent need to bend, climb, crawl, kneel, push, pull, reach, move side to side, stoop, and climb ladders/step stools. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.
