**Job Summary**

At Inspira Health Network, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services Department, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating, and controlling activities to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation in our facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Order and manage supplies to maintain all areas of the facility, ensuring that disinfectants meet infection control guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory agencies, including proper segregation, packaging, and disposal of regulated medical waste (RMW) in accordance with NJDEP guidelines.
  • Represent the hospital at community functions, making decisions based on our ability to serve and ensuring that all loaned items are returned.
  • Act as the department facilitator, instructing in-services, disseminating information to all housekeepers, and interacting with all employees to ensure all is well.
  • Interact with all levels of management, attending inter-divisional meetings when required, expediting requests for services, and understanding the needs of all departments to make informed decisions.

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in Healthcare Environmental Services required, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certification in supervisor course/certification preferred.

**Physical Requirements**

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, push/pull equipment, use arm, leg, and back muscles for extended periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
