As a Speech Language Pathologist with BAYADA, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and develop therapeutic interventions for clients experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluation results, physician's orders, and recommended goals.
- Continually assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, participating in multidisciplinary care planning as needed.
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or representatives on rehabilitative care and activities promoting health, safety, and independent living.
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations related to patient care management and services provided.
- A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Maryland.
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or meet equivalent educational requirements and work experience necessary for such a certificate.
- Solid computer skills, with prior experience using electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
