Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the operation of water and wastewater treatment plants, including pumps, valves, and other equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment.
- Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including instruments and testing devices.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months to 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a water or wastewater treatment environment.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Water or wastewater treatment certification or license.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
