Job Title: Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Putnam County, FL BOCC. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to maintenance and construction work, including road repairs, equipment operation, and grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual labor tasks, including road repairs, equipment operation, and grounds maintenance.
  • Operate heavy machinery, such as cement mixers, air hammers, and compressors.
  • Load and unload heavy materials from trucks.
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning and maintaining facilities.
  • Assist with emergency support functions during emergencies or other related emergency duties.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to perform manual labor tasks, including heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery, including cement mixers, air hammers, and compressors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
