Meat Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and presentation of our meat department, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible shopping experience.

• Stock and face meat cases, ensuring that products are properly displayed and priced.
• Assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and provide product information.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the meat department, including the storage area and work area.
• Rotate and inspect meat products to ensure freshness and quality.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as knives, scales, and wrappers.
• Prepare and package meat products according to company standards.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a meat department or related field.
• Preferred 2-3 years of experience in grocery retail or natural foods industry.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship program completed preferred.

The Meat Cutter position requires standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work in a team setting is essential.
