Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify daily delivery plans and routes to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of products
  • Maintain a high level of professional uniform standards and personal hygiene
  • Responsible for maintaining proper levels of fuel and executing daily truck checks
  • Inspect fruits and snacks for quality and report any issues to the Operations manager
  • Work closely with Dispatch to verify daily delivery plans and routes, and to address any potential road work that could delay or cause re-routing
  • Confirm customer orders against product deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Engage with school and other representatives when making deliveries, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and communication
  • Conduct vehicle pre-check inspections before departing to deliver goods, and spot check product upon delivery and unloading to ensure product quality
  • Exercise good judgment and operational control of a company vehicle
  • Pack and load products onto trucks according to company specifications, and unload truck to meet customer/school program needs
  • Adhere to proper food handling requirements and temperature checks of chilled products
  • Maintain regular communication with the route dispatcher and inform them of traffic and other conditions that may impact timely deliveries
  • Manage the packing slips and delivery process, having customers sign for receipt of deliveries and noting any rejections or shorted products
  • Follow company protocol when questions or concerns are raised by customers, and be a problem solver and promoter of Revolution Foods' Core values and mission
  • Follow safe working practices operating the vehicle, obeying speed limits, loading and unloading, and use pallet jacks, dock plates, wheel chalks, track mileage, straps, handle pallets and plastic wrap
  • Keep the truck interior and exterior organized, clean and sanitary throughout, and ensure proper care of equipment used to move or secure product inventory
  • Follow all required safe work and food safety practices, including vehicle safety precautions and wearing required PPE in designated areas
  • Correct and/or report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Identify and report vehicle mechanical issues that may occur, and support preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment
  • Immediately report any accident or property damage that may occur
  • May assist kitchen staff with preparation and pack-out tasks as needed, and complete a variety of routine admin tasks associated with the work
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Delivery Driver
  • Experience driving 16 ft and/or 26 ft box trucks
  • A valid Class C Driver's License
  • A clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a company driving test, background check and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to work an early morning flexible schedule and cover varied shifts which may include periodic overtime
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude and image
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who will be responsible for common routines, goal-driven with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from others
  • Able to work as a team and individually to accomplish the work
  • Knowledge of basic food handling requirements
Working Conditions

Work is within a factory setting, with chilled temperatures, and occasionally work is required within the freezer area. Routinely exposed to wet, damp and cold conditions. All PPE is provided.

Prolonged standing, walking and sitting is routinely required.

Routinely required to stand, walk, bend, carry, crouch, grasp, hold, kneel, lift, push/pull, reach, sit, squat, stand, stoop, stretch, turn, twist, talk, listen and communicate with others.

May lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

All Revolution Foods Driver's assigned routes are subject to change based on business needs.

Assigned routes are not owned by Drivers.

All Drivers will have a designated timeframe to complete all daily routes.

Based on business needs, Drivers may be asked to periodically assist with additional stops/routes.
