Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer performs a variety of ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound procedures using a variety of equipment and techniques
  • Identify and define abnormalities specific to the procedure
  • Correlate other diagnostic test results with anatomy and function
  • Assist physicians in the procedure rooms and operating rooms as needed
  • Prepare patients for procedures and obtain clinical history
  • Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the ultrasound lab and its equipment

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Certification in one or more of the following areas: Ob/Gyn, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, or small parts
