SUN Behavioral Delaware is seeking a highly skilled Intake Coordinator to join our team. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and support to address their mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to inquiry calls from patients and their families, providing information and support to help them navigate the assessment process.
- Assess patient needs and determine the most appropriate course of action, including scheduling a face-to-face assessment or referring patients to community resources.
- Coordinate with licensed mental health professionals to ensure that patients receive the necessary assessments and evaluations.
- Work with physicians to develop treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Ensure that all administrative processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner, including initial authorization of care with insurance companies and third-party payors.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
