Job Title: Reality Capture Specialist

Job Summary:

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Reality Capture Specialist to support our Hammond, IN Office. This position will involve conducting various 3D scanning procedures in a heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit job sites to perform reality capture tasks using lidar and photogrammetry equipment
• Set up job sites with targets, plan equipment placement, and capture properties
• Perform data upload, processing, and registration tasks at the office
• Deploy web viewers to setup remote viewing by clients
• Archive/backup scan data after finalizing reality capture job scope
• Teach clients how to operate scan viewing software via in-person or web meetings

Requirements:

• Travel will be required frequently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical & organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Must have time management skills and the ability to meet firm deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate and/or bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, or related field
• Experience with Faro Scene, LFM, Autodesk ReCap, and Leica Total Station
• Previous reality capture and/or surveying experience
• Active OSHA 10 and/or TWIC card
• Autodesk AutoCAD and Plant3D proficiency
• Licensed surveyor
• FAA Part 107 sUAS Pilot license
• Experience with Trimble GPS data collection

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk with equipment at client sites for an entire day
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs with equipment
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to carry up to 20-30 pounds of equipment throughout worksite
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to put equipment into vehicle
